Seline Burn (*1995, Switzerland) is a contemporary artist whose evocative figurative paintings draw from personal memories and art historical references. Her practice centers on how everyday objects, relationships, and visual traditions shape our understanding of the world around us. By weaving intimate experiences into broader cultural and historical narratives, Burn prompts viewers to reflect on the norms that influence how we see and interpret images.
Her work engages deeply with questions of cultural memory and the emotional weight of the familiar. Through vivid, layered compositions, she creates spaces where aesthetic resonance meets critical inquiry — offering moments of quiet reflection on the interplay between past and present, the personal and the collective.
Burn’s paintings have been exhibited in Switzerland and internationally, including at the Kunsthaus Pasquart (Biel), Kunstmuseum Thun, Wilde (Geneva and Basel), Everyday Moonday Gallery (Seoul), Eve Leibe Gallery (London and Torino), and Delphian Gallery (Ligné and Helsinki) and Baert Gallery (Los Angeles). Her work is held in the permanent collection of the Baloise Art (Switzerland) and the BNP Paribas.
