Hannah Parr

Hannah Parr (b. 1984 United Kingdom) Is a British Chinese artist living and working in Zurich. Her works are based on specific self-developed working processes. For years, she has been collecting and sorting materials, typically from domestic or manufactured sources. Her diverse output ranges from mosaic-like structures from construction site barricade slats to large-scale augmented wood sculptures and objects referencing social realities and power dynamics. Parr rewrites the narrative of objects identified with a specific function, thereby harvesting the latent potential of commonplace objects by repurposing them as tools for critical analysis.
